On Saturday evening 10 September, Archive Event V
at Looiersgracht 60 concludes the first Public Research Residency with artists Doina Kraal and Roger Cremers, who will perform Oumuamua
, a transhistorical sound play in collaboration with musicians Boele Weemhoff and Sylvian Kloens.
In their collaborative project-in-progress Spiritus - Archiving the (un)Imaginable
, Cremers and Kraal create a tangible and multi-sensory representation of the universe and the stories it holds. The most recent addition to one of the installations is the scent of the universe – a collaboration with perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri, alias The Nose. During the final week of the residency period, their research into sound in relation to space, time travel and consciousness culminates into a performative sound piece.
In this project, objects, ideas and (optical) media from different eras come together in a transhistorical Gesammtkunstwerk, which intends to take the visitor back into time, but also invites to imagine future scenarios and science fictions.
