Taede A. Smedes

Dr. Taede A. Smedes (Drachten, the Netherlands, 1973) is a philosopher of religion and a theologian. He has worked at the universities of Nijmegen, Leuven (Belgium), Leiden and Groningen and specializes in science and religion and issues surrounding theism and religious atheism. He has published on religious atheism, religious naturalism and post-theism. In 2018 he published a book-length essay on the 'Epic of the Evolution' and its implications for our view of humanity in the cosmos. In 2022 he published a book (in Dutch) on theories on UFO's and how sightings have been dealt with in the U.S.A. and the Netherlands, besides telling the story of his own UFO-sighting as a teenager. 
Smedes works as an independent researcher and freelance journalist, and lives in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
