Nicolas Sassoon & Rick Silva

French artist Nicolas Sassoon (b.1981) and American artist Rick Silva both work with computer-based processes to generate and analyse visions of architecture, landscapes and wilderness. Their visions of architecture and nature explore the contemplative dimensions of the digital and the manner in which virtual space potentially inscribes itself within our physical reality. Both artists have exhibited their work internationally, including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London; Eyebeam Art+Technology Center, New York; Centre d’Art Bastille, France; TRANSFER Gallery, New York; and Ditch Projects, Springfield, Oregon. Sassoon is a member of the online collective Computers Club and founder of the collective W-A-L-L-P-A-P-E-R-S. Silva teaches at the University of Oregon and has exhibited his work at festivals like Transmediale, Germany, Futuresonic, UK, and Sonar, Spain. Nicolas Sassoon lives and works in Biarritz, France, and Vancouver, Canada. Rick Silva lives and works in Eugene, Oregon.
